A Poem by… Rumi
For this week’s creative prompt, I offer a poem:
Out beyond ideas
of wrongdoing and rightdoing,
there is a field.
I’ll meet you there.
When the soul lies down
in that grass,
the world is too full to talk about.
Ideas, language
- even the phrase “each other” -
do not make any sense. ![]()

Gosh, I posted this a few hours ago, before I saw the topic, but this quote from the prompt:
When the soul lies down
in that grass,
the world is too full to talk about.
… seemed very fitting.
THIS is my submission.

Honestly, this poem has spoken to me today. I wish I could be in the poem with my DH. Maybe that would make it all better?

I love the poem too, and had also never heard of Rumi. I will have to do some searching for other poems.
I did two. One, a painting:

And two, an older photo I thought “fit”-
