Welcome to Inspire Me Thursday...   A weekly dose of inspiration for
mixed media artists and creative types to nurture their muses and CREATE!

Hummingbirds

This week, our creative theme is the small bird of the Trochilidae family, known to us as the Hummingbird. A beautiful bird, with incredible flight ability, a distinctive humming sound, amazing eating habits and an impressive migration, there is much inspiration to be drawn from such a small, little creature.

What a delightful topic…hummingbirds are such magical creatures! I used two of my paintings to create a digital collage for this week’s topic.

Regular visits from the hummingbirds as viewed through the cabin windows. Busy little birdie bodies. Joyful to watch.

I painted this hummingbird in about 30 minutes with watercolors on watercolor paper. The idea of the music notes on the tail just kind of popped in my head. It’s a little bright, but I think it’s a nice concept. ;)
