Envelope
This week let us be inspired by the Envelope. Challenge yourself to make an ordinary envelope a work of art. Incorporate an envelope in a collage (don’t forget to tuck something inside!). Sketch a series of envelopes. Or make a stack of envelopes the subject of your next painting. Whatever creative direction you choose to take, dare yourself to ‘push the envelope’ and have fun with this topic!
· · ·
Get creative by interpreting this topic through art, words, photography, however you feel moved to express yourself. Post it on your blog, then leave your link* in the comments section of this post so we can go check it out.
* To ensure it is easy for us to find your work, please provide a link to a static page that will always show your submission, and not your website’s main page.

I love mail art and it is a guilty pleasure to take time away from my more “serious” work to dash off some envelopes or postcards for mail art calls from around the world - here is one postcard, not technically an envelope - but much the same look.

I’ve been having a difficult time being “creative” and while I’m not as happy as I could be with what I’ve done, I’m happy that I made the attempt! And that’s what Inspire Me Thursday is all about.

I still enjoying sending fun things through the mail. Worth it for the strange looks I get when I take it all to the post office.
