Define Your Comfort Zone
This week, be inspired by your Comfort Zone. Create within your comfort zone, using materials and techniques with which you feel comfortable and confident. Or alternatively, illustrate the boundaries of your comfort zone when it comes to relationships, career, fashion, et cetera.

I created this accordion book for my Spirit Houses swap on swap-bot.com. Everything about it — the deep, rich green of the background, the collage elements, the house shape and the fact that it’s a book — goes right to the heart of my comfort zone.

To be honest, most of my paintings go through a decidedly uncomfortable phase during which I feel as if we’re fighting each other. This one, however, was a joyful and comfortable experience from start to finish… I used my favorite colors and included my favorite motifs, and it all came together… perfect cooperation!

Oh, this works well with what I posted this morning! I love, love, love winter and I find it very comforting. I prefer subzero temps and barren land over any temps remotely tropical. That said, this is my contribution.

Shadows
One of my “comfort zone” in photography, “shooting shadows“… Also, I drew these studies on Moleskine directly inspired by the same “comfort zone”, might make them into block prints later…

Drawing and doodling in my sketch book while curled up in my bed is my comfort zone. When I was a kid I loved to color in coloring books…

I also made this Spirit House accordion book for a swap-bot swap. The colors, illustrations, placement–tell a lot about me and my comfort zone. I would like to add that my pup, Sylvie, is a major part of everything I do. Sometimes I’m not sure if I’m more dependent on her or if it’s the other way around!

hi everybody! just surfing the web, found your blog;thought it was a good topic and wanted to reply. my comfort zone is working with fabrics and unique stones;however my creativity expands when i incorperate other materials in my work;I’ve learn not to be complacent, always think outside the box -a place where creativity is born;and peace and joy reins.

This image is drawn in Illustrator which has become second nature to me. The subject matter is also a comfort zone, for me and for the woman I met during this experience.

Hi Everyone….
My comfort zone is cooking and perhaps that is what has lead to my “Yummy Sketch of the Day” features on my blog….
you can check out some of these here
http://dianaevans.blogspot.com/
I also take requests for Yummy Sketches….and sometimes I have to do research when I get a special request for something I never tried before….
My comfort is in my daily art and the smiles and inspiration it brings to others…
Have a wonderful day….
