This week’s journal prompt:
As you go through your day, make a mental list of the 3 best things that happen to you today. When something else better shows up, modify your list and keep track of the top 3 things for the day. If you keep a journal, you might want to write down your list at the end of the day, so you can refer back to your journal in the future. Do this exercise for at least a week. This exercise trains your mind to consciously and actively look for the blessings in your life. Focus on finding “what’s going right” instead of following our tendency to focus on “what’s going wrong”. I’m sure you will find new appreciation & outlook for your life.

I skipped this prompt, feeling it wasn’t needed due to my habitual nature of looking on the bright side and of valuing the things that I have in my life.
All the same, my latest spread would seem to be semi appropriate to the whole gratitude and thanksgiving thing… Smile Because it Happened
Well, it’s all that I have to offer at this time, anyway. I’m thankful that I produced anything at all in the current climate of chaos that is my home :-)

I’ve tried unsuccessfully to submit something here, but think I’ve succeeded in finally leaving one in the wrong spot. Sigh! Such is life :)
So, now that I think I have a handle (at last) about how this all works … I’ll share another post here to test the water.
I submit this post for your consideration:

It’s the final daily entry in my month-long Sacred Life journey, undertaken after meeting Carla at a Writer’s Retreat in Taos this summer. I’ll be posting on this topic weekly as part of Sacred Life Sunday from now on.
I’m a newbie … have been blogging for a little more than a month … enjoying the process of sharing bits of myself and meeting new friends in this virtual world.

So this entry was inspired by a couple quotes in the “Reflect” section and this idea about training your conscious mind. It came out of a different exercise than the 3 best things idea, but similar idea about writing or rewriting your life! Anyway, here goes:
