Lately it’s been lots of black and tan, and I’m not referring to the drink. Have a great weekend all!

I usually paint several pages of backgrounds in my journal using the leftover paint on my palette, generally choosing a different limited color scheme for each page so I have something to suit a variety of moods. The journal page on the top of this post has some red, orange and yellow in the background over which I drew in black and white…perfect for this approaching season of bright foliage!
-
Here is the palette that I’ve been drawn to for the last few weeks. It is whispering something to me…exactly what I have yet to discover
-
Here’s mine. I chose brown and red.
-
I went with a color I don’t like to work with.

This topic was synchronicity at work. I happened to be working with a limited palette on a few ATCs this morning. I even noted the palette on the back of one of the cards. When I was done and checked here to see what else I could create with the IMT prompt; lo and behold - the limited palette concept! I love it when that happens :-)
-
Some ATCs from me as well:

I’ve been drawn to blues and greens a lot lately, but when I went to the studio this week, I reached for rich, passionate reds and earthy yellow ochre, which I suppose mimicked my emotions at the moment.
