My personal theory is that being frugal with the number of colours, one gets to know them intimately and to understand how each reacts with the others. 
In our life there is a single color, as on an artist’s palette, which provides the meaning of life and art. It is the color of love.
Raw umber is my favorite color. Whenever I see that color, I can see and smell leaves and new beginnings. Color is felt, after all.
