Oh, photography, how I love thee.

I had a conversation with an elderly man who comes into the restaurant where I work and has lunch 5 days a week. His wife passed away 6 months ago. He was saying how he was glad his wife passed away before he did. They had been married for a very long time. He had pictures of her to show all of the wait staff. She always dressed so beautifully and cooked for him every night. He sang her praise and the love was in his eyes. He said if he would have passed first, she wouldn’t have been too far behind. He was glad she didn’t have to feel the emptiness and sadness of him no longer being there. They had such a loving relationship. I have that kind of love with my husband and I am blessed. I’ve only been married for 2 years now but I believe, in my heart…I have that special kind of love. And it makes teary eyed all the time.
