Psst… Can you keep a secret?
I often have little hidden secrets within my artwork, especially in my art journals. To me, it’s a bit liberating, to release a secret in a subtle, ambiguous way. Usually nothing more than innocent random musings or personal intentions, tucked away between layers, obscured by paint or papers.
Wishing you a creative week!

It may be that just in our everyday art we reveal more about ourselves than we’d think . . . with or without being mindful of it. Revealing secrets or keeping secrets; it’s all fascinating and a great inspiration for this week.

I once new an artist who would write personal things in his artworks, thoughts and feelings mixed with obscure random statements, and he would write these in this beautiful curly scrip, but he would write them all backwards. So the writing really contributed to the aesthetic of the work, but if a veiwer really wanted to, they could stand there and read the writing backwards to decipher it. I think that is brilliant, that means that you are only exposing personal thought to those veiwers who really truly are interested to read it.
