I am almost fiished with this mixed media painting that is inspired by Jimi Hendrix’s song Purple Haze. The song’s been in my mind and in my ears for weeks, and I kept seeing this picture in my head… my wish is that I will always be aware and moved by the world around me, and that it will continue to inspire creativity. When I read the challenge this week, I decided to design my 40th birthday cake. This cake reminds me of my goals and wishes for the near future. I think of my 40th birthday as a major milestone. I have a couple of years before I turn 40 - and I am really looking forward to it; especially since I got carded while buying a bottle of wine this past Sunday!

I want this..not the actual house by the river.. but the image and the feeling it brings to me. Some day. I do want a house by the river.. doesn’t matter what it looks like.. just as long as it fits my needs. ;o)
