Here, an image created on last Mother’s Day, in my first mom’s home.
My half-siblings were there, too.
It was the first time we were “home” together, ironically, for Mother’s Day.
It hangs 18″ x 22″ on a main wall in my home now. Hesitantly, I e-mailed it to first mom and she was thrilled. I’ve yet to give her a larger version. Framed. Such validation.

can i cheat? i am doing a basket weaving course at the moment, and i didn’t make this for this week’s challenge, but they are things i finished recently at the class. willow baskets. it’s great fun, if you get a chance at trying this, give it a go!

I didn’t make it specifically for this challenge, but I created a piece “Wanderlust” when I was feeling like home was the last place I wanted to hang around!

I’ve been planning these little fabric houses for awhile, so when I saw this weeks challenge, it was the impetus I needed to get started. I’m no expert yet at beeswax, but it is a fun way to work.
