HeartsArt Radio

Unfortuantely HeartsArt Radio, an online talk show about handmade mixed media arts, has not released a new show in over a year, but there is still an archive full of interesting and “informative interviews with leading mixed media artists from the realms of new art – bridging the mediums of words, images, textiles and spirit.” Hearing the voices behind the art gives such a personal view of each artist as they describe their process, share their techniques, and inspire us with their passion.
Either this show needs to make a comeback, or someone savvy enough needs to offer us audio interviews and mixed media art goodness via podcasts (hint, hint).

Have you seen “The Creative Mom Podcast”? Some of it is mom/parent-specific, but a lot of it is journaling and mixed media and drawing — really good stuff.
CraftSanity’s another good one for interesting interviews, though they’re more on the craft side of art than the Art side of art. They’re still worth listening to.
Aisling D’Art has a short, not-often-as-I’d-like updated podcast that i’m totally blanking on the name of, but is about the artist and the process, which is really nice, too.
I’d really love to start one that’s more mixed-media oriented, but my time’s being taxed a bit as it is. I recorded one (Creativicast) and never did bother to edit or release it. Maybe I should do that one of these days.
