Magnetic Poetry

The challenge this week is to compose a small poem, Magnetic Poetry style, then create a piece of art inspired by it. And just what is ‘Magnetic Poetry’ style?
  • Use a Magnetic Poetry kit to come up with a short poem or a phrase.
  • Or, if you don’t have the kit, there are several online versions available, such as Shocked Poetry and Magnetic Poetry Online.
  • Or my personal favorite: Search for words and phrases in an old book. Be quick and spontaneous, cutting them out and pile them together. When you have a small collection, sort through and compose a quick, short poem or story.

Create a piece of art that illustrates your poem, post it on your blog, then leave your link* in the comments section of this post so we can go check it out.

* To ensure it is easy for us to find your artwork, please provide a link to a static page that will always show your submission, and not your website’s main page.
