Blahness
As I go from one artist blog to the next, there seems to be a common blahness in the air. Is it the dreary skies that many of us are faced with during winter? The post-holiday exhaustion? The agony of looking back on last year and making resolutions for the new year? Whatever the reason, many artists are feeling out of sorts, in a rut or uninspired.
I do wish we could bottle up that feeling of intoxication and passion when the muse has lit a creative spark and we are at our artistic best. Wouldn’t it be wonderful to open it up again when our mood is gloomy and we are in dire need of a boost?
The good news is that the low points don’t last forever. The sun will shine again. And when it does, we are able to cherish it all the more, knowing just how precious it truly is, esecially on those blah days.
Wishing you a blah-free week!

Ah yes, blahness. I do feel “there” so much these days. For me it is largely connected with the time of year. This year we’ve had snow and so much stormy weather for so long already. It feels like it might last forever. I DO feel much better when I see all the excitement and creativity around valentines. I’d never been so inspired before. I also feel so uplifted on days like today - an even blahher Monday - when I visit IMT and see all the wonderful inspiration. Thanks for this. I love it.
