Happy New Year
The new year is the perfect time to slow down and reflect upon not only where we’ve been, but also where we are going. Applaud yourself for last year’s artistic endeavors and accomplishments. Forgive yourself and be thankful of any mis-attempts for they have helped you grow and expand as an artist. And look hopefully to the coming year with confidence and ardent enthusiasm over the boundless possibility and creative potential that awaits.
As artists and individuals, we each have our own artistic goals — being published, selling in a gallery, having an outlet for emotions and strife, mastering a particular medium, teaching others, learning to draw the human figure, or whatever your personal goals may be. The beautiful thing about it is that no goal is too ambitious or too small, no goal makes us more or less of an artist, no goal is right or wrong, as long as we are enjoying the process and not taking it all too seriously.
Whatever your artistic resolutions this year, I wish you much success!
peace+joy,
