Art to Give

This week, let us make some art to give. Whether it be a wall hanging, an ornament, or whatever else you can come up with, create something that you intend to present as a gift to someone else.

Share your handmade gift on your blog, then post the link* in the comments section of this post so we can go check it out.

* To ensure it is easy for us to find your artwork, please provide a link to a static page that will always show your submission, and not your website’s main page.

I took the initiative and made the image for our Christmas cards this year. I cut the print in a “soft” block. I had a hard time with it. It cut like jello, but I think I was able to save it.

I love handmade gifts! they are my favorite things to give (whether i make them myself or commission other artists and craftsters). This year I made my own lino cut linoleum block print christmas cards, and made cinnamon stick candles

Last year I gave some of my art work to family & friends & of course made my own christmas cards. This year I commissioned a Poppet sketch from the fabulous Claudine Hellmuth to give to my 2 best friends (they are twins!) It turned out great so I highly recommend her services too…she has a fun & unique style!
