Sticky Tape Transfers

Tape Transfers Create quick and easy image transfers
using a variety of clear sticky tape

Gather supplies

Supplies

  • Clear sticky tape (Packing tape, scotch tape, clear contact paper)
  • Images (magazines, photocopies)
  • Straight edge (credit card, razor blade)
  • Water
  • Sink or bowl
Tools and supplies Cut out images and tape to desired size Cut paper and tape to size Apply paper images to packing tape Smooth out tape with straight edge Using a straight edge (credit card or razor blade),
smooth out tape so there are no air bubbles Smooth tape out with straight edge Scotch tape transfer Apply images to scotch tape Ready for the next step All ready for the next step Soak in water Add pieces of tape to bowl or sink of water and let soak for awhile Gently peel away paper Using your fingers, gently rub off paper from the back of the tape Some paper residue may remain Allow to dry Tape transfers Tape transfers are done… Tape Tranfers …and ready to be used in a collage, journal, et cetera.
